Verizon Wireless has been busy lately. The Basking Ridge NJ mega-cellular company appeared in two product announcements this week. Both home care mobile communications vendor CellTrak and Panasonic Computer Solutions Company®™ have partnered with Verizon to provide real-time, cellular data services for their respective devices. CellTrak now communicates via virtually every North American cell provider and Panasonic offers built-in, chip-level connections to the Verizon network from its Toughbook H1 Mobile PC.
CellTrak Announces Verizon Network Capabilities and New Certified Device
Schaumburg, IL – August 18, 2009 – CellTrak Technologies Inc., announced that they have added the Verizon Network to the list of carriers available for their cellular automation system. The new BlackBerry™ “Tour” device enables Verizon network clients to use the CellTrak application.
The company’s new partnership with RIM and release of version 1.70 of its application adds Verizon to a list that includes most other North American cellular networks. According to a company release, this means that all features are available to customers of every carrier, including Celltrak’s GPS capability.
The CellTrak system automates time and attendance, travel time and mileage for field personnel, allowing paperless schedules and patient specific care plans to be delivered, viewed and answered from the handheld device. Company Chairman and CEO Richard Herrmann added that CellTrak software now integrates with many home care and hospice clinical management systems.

Panasonic Toughbook® H1 Receives GOBI™ Certification on Verizon Wireless Network.
