We Care Home Health Services Signs Agreement with CellTrak Technologies Inc.
Toronto, ON (November 30, 2009) – A Canadian home health care services provider has entered into an agreement to deploy CellTrak’s mobile healthcare system to automate staff Time and Attendance tracking. Shaumburg (Chicago)-based CellTrak offers a cellphone application for home health aides.
We Care Health Services Inc. (We Care) is the largest, independently owned homecare company in Canada, with a presence in over 50 communities across the country. The Winnipeg-based provider first conducted a pilot at its home office, then began to deploy CellTrak’s point-of-care automation system at other locations. The rollout will continue through 2010.
CFO Andrew Wong indicated that We Care realized less paperwork, automated scheduling through an interface with their Procura clinical management system and improved communication among care team members. We Care’s HR department noted that elimination of paper and manual processes provided streamlined payroll and expense management and fewer billing delays.
“CellTrak is pleased to team with a premier industry leading home care provider in Canada to help them improve care services and reduce internal costs,” commented CellTrak president Michael K. Wons. “CellTrak provides a mobility solution for home care aides while establishing an integrated homecare technology platform that will help support continued growth and expansion at We Care.”
Fastrack Announces Major Expansion.
Plainview, NY… Fastrack Healthcare Systems has announced completion of the first phase of its expansion plans. The first phase included adding additional staff in key areas and in-house technology to support the company’s internet hosted software system.
According to Fastrack president Spencer Kay, “We have added staff in customer service, quality assurance and technical support as a result of the large increase in new clients in 2009. In anticipation of our continued growth in 2010, we will be adding additional development programmers, trainers, implementation specialists and sales staff.”
Kay added that growth has come not only from new sales but from growth occuring within a significant number of the company’s existing accounts. Some of that growth is the result of organic expansion, some comes from acquisition of other providers, still more is due to absorbing the patient base of providers that have gone out of business.
“The growth in their business has resulted in a greater need for Fastrack products and services,” Kay remarked. “This has resulted in a higher demand for our consulting and custom programming services as well as on-site training and our Internet based training classes.”
Fastrack has increased its research and development budget as well, leading to the release in 2010 of additional functionality to Workflow Manager, including the ability to process FSA debit cards within the Integrated Credit Card processing feature as well as other capabilities in Fastrack’s Business Intelligence tool.
To support the company’s growing base of customers selecting Software as a Service, Fastrack has also announced additional investment in its own internal infrastructure, which will continue in 2010. New, advanced computer systems and emergency back-up systems have been added.
Fastrack provides software to Home Medical Equipment, Durable Medical Equipment, Respiratory Providers, Home Infusion Pharmacies and Home Healthcare Agencies.
