343 days until the first Baby Boomer applies for Medicare

Tim RowanDear Home Care Colleague,

When I began writing about home health care technology in 1998, I was admittedly unpracticed at interviewing and, frankly, after five years as a home care agency IT Director, I still knew less than most of the first hundred or so people I interviewed.

This is why it was such a relief that one of my first subjects was Michael Siegel, then in his second of ten years as Chief Information Officer at Maxim Healthcare Services. He defined terms I was not yet familiar with and gave me all the information I needed, including most of the questions I should be asking him. It turned into a good article, mostly because it made me look much smarter than I was at the time.

This is why I am pleased, nearly 12 years later, to be able to feature my friend Michael in one of this week’s articles. He was introduced on Monday as VP of Information Services at another multi-state home care organization. They are lucky to have him and we wish him all the best in his new endeavor. (Interview to follow…after he settles in.)
