Delta Health Technologies, LLC (Delta) has launched a new software application to serve the unique documentation requirements of inpatient hospice care. RhapsodyCare™ is described in company literature as a product intended “to blend into the environment and work flow of a hospice house, and to allow clinicians to focus on patient comfort while ensuring consistent documentation.”
RhapsodyCare documents daily shift-based interaction among clinicians, patients, family members and other caregivers, supporting user ability to:
- manage referrals for inpatient hospice care, whether it is for routine, general inpatient or respite care
- add new patients
- view patients in the system
- identify available beds
- perform pre-admission evaluations to determine whether the patient meets the criteria for a general inpatient level of care
- document an initial assessment upon patient arrival and establish a plan of care
- document ongoing services in the inpatient setting
RhapsodyCare‘s interface features photos of patients and their clinicians, providing a more personal, human element. Data is easily accessed, updated and retrieved and online help is available.
RhapsodyCare utilizes Microsoft® Silverlight™ 3 technology and is compatible with multiple web browsers used on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Subscriptions to a basic version and to premium add-ons are available now.
Delta Healthcare Technologies president and CEO Keith Crownover explained, “Delta recognizes that inpatient hospice care is one of the most personal and underserved sectors of the healthcare industry. We wanted to create a solution that answered the challenges raised by caregivers and administrators. With RhapsodyCare, managing the interdisciplinary team becomes more efficient and smooth. It can assist those who provide care in what can be a challenging environment, and it brings a human touch to the process.”
